Nice to meet you!
This is me
I am always questioning the world around me by challenging what I have been taught to be right. As a recent graduate from Pratt Institute with a degree in Industrial Design and minor in Sustainability, I am to excited to use me design knowledge to bridge many of the great divides into today’s world. My passions for design activism, sustainability, and inclusivity drive my every day life as well my designs.
Since 2012, I have lived with a chronic illness that has profoundly shaped my livelihood and role as a designer. My experiences as a chronically ill and disabled young adult have given me perspectives and drive to make the world more inclusive and empathetic. Through my wellness journey, I have found healing in connecting to Nature and strives to create a healthier and cleaner world for myself, my peers, and our Earth.
For some weekend fun, I work at a local farmers market in Brooklyn where I love being surrounded by a community who supports small farming, healthy and real food.
I have exhibited in The Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum in New York City, Dutch Design Week’s Antenna 2018 conference, and will at Dubai Design Week’s Global Grad Show in November 2018. In New York City , I am currently a WITH Fellow at Frog Design where I am promoting Disability Design. As I continue to share my passions with the world, I am looking for ways to collaborate with those from different backgrounds and perspectives in hopes of continually creating a better world.
