I create opportunities through design and advocacy.
My creative interests lie at the intersection of environmentalism, disability studies, and food equality. I create impactful change through design, research, advocacy, writing, and education.
As a disabled designer, I have been given unique perspectives to make the world more inclusive and respectful to disabled people. Being disabled has given me a greater sense of empathy for not only my community but for any stigmatized or minority group. I am disabled due to a chronic illness where healing has been a large part of my journey. Through healing, I have found a great connection to Nature. Because of this, I want to create a healthier world for myself, all beings, and this earth.
As designers, we are taught to think about complex problems, but I want my creativity to celebrate communities, cultures and this Earth. If we are always trying to fix things, then we will never pause to think about all what exists that is already amazing.
